StoRM is a grid Storage Resource Manager for disk based storage systems developed by INFN-CNAF and ICTP-EGRID. StoRM implements the SRM interface version 2.x. The main idea of StoRM is to take advatage from high performing cluster and parallel file system in a Grid environment. It’s designed to support different parallel file systems (as GPFS by IBM or Lustre) through a flexible driver mechanism, but also standard Posix file systems are supported (as ext3 or XFS by SGI). For further informations please refer to the StoRM web site.
