2.6  Formatting mathematics

It is possible to format simple mathematical equations as either normal text (using the symbol font face and superscript and subscript character highlights) or as real FrameMaker equations. For a consistent look it is recommended that all mathematics be put into real FrameMaker equations.

Another complication is that the text and equation editing environments in FrameMaker are completely different. For this reason all pre-defined elements need to be provided twice - one for each environment.
