EXTRAPOLATIONS

&GAS: EXTRAPOLATIONS

item

The table item to be extrapolated, the following are known:

Item Description
[HIGH-]ATTACHMENT-COEFFICIENT Attachment coefficient beyond highest E/p
[HIGH-]DIFFUSION-TENSOR Diffusion tensor beyond the highest E/p
[HIGH-]DISSOCIATION Ion dissociation beyond the highest E/p
[HIGH-]DRIFT-VELOCITY Drift velocity beyond the highest E/p
[HIGH-]EXCITATION-RATES Excitation rates beyond the highest E/p
[HIGH-]ION-MOBILITY Ion mobility beyond the highest E/p
[HIGH-]IONISATION-RATES Ionisation rates beyond the highest E/p
[HIGH-]LONGITUDINAL-DIFFUSION Long. diffusion beyond the highest E/p
[HIGH-]LORENTZ-ANGLE Lorentz angle beyond the highest E/p
[HIGH-]TOWNSEND-COEFFICIENT Townsend coefficient beyond highest E/p
[HIGH-]TRANSVERSE-DIFFUSION Transv. diffusion beyond the highest E/p
LOW-ATTACHMENT-COEFFICIENT Attachment coefficient below first E/p
LOW-DIFFUSION-TENSOR Diffusion tensor below the first E/p
LOW-DISSOCIATION Ion dissociation below the first E/p
LOW-DRIFT-VELOCITY Drift velocity below the first E/p
LOW-EXCITATION-RATES Excitation rates below the highest E/p
LOW-ION-MOBILITY Ion mobility below the first E/p
LOW-IONISATION-RATES Ionisation rates below the highest E/p
LOW-LONGITUDINAL-DIFFUSION Long. diffusion below the first E/p
LOW-LORENTZ-ANGLE Lorentz angle below the first E/p
LOW-TOWNSEND-COEFFICIENT Townsend coefficient below first E/p
LOW-TRANSVERSE-DIFFUSION Transv. diffusion below the first E/p

The prefix HIGH- is optional for backwards compatibility. DIFFUSION can be used instead of LONGITUDINAL-DIFFUSION.

method

The extrapolation method to be used: CONSTANT, EXPONENTIAL or LINEAR.

Constant extrapolation means values for any E/p outside the range of the table are set to the value for the first or last E/p in the table, as appropriate.

In the case of linear and exponential extrapolation the first or last two table points are used as basis for the extrapolation.
