Moore will either run in the online trigger farm processing online data from the LHCb DAQ system, or offline starting from real data or from the output of the detector digitization application (Boole). Currently the HLT is developed for offline use only, in the DaVinci environment. Moore will be updated again once commisioning in the Online environment begins.
Information about the High Level Trigger and instructions for running the HLT applications can be found in the HLT web pages
The LHCb software is structured as a set of CMT projects. The Moore project provides only the job options and main program for running the Moore application. The applications consist of components taken from the Hlt, Phys, Rec, Lbcom and Online projects. They are all based on the LHCb core packages and the Gaudi framework.
Moore is developed within the context of the physics software project. Please refer to the project web pages for details of the project organization (meetings, mailing lists, contact persons etc.)
Documentation for available releases can be found by following the links at the top of this page. The environment for working with a given version of Moore should be set up with the SetupProject Moore [version] script.
Source code and binaries for supported platforms are available on disk (in AFS directory /afs/cern.ch/lhcb/software/releases - $LHCBRELEASES), and in the form of tar file distribution kits. The current list of supported platforms and compilers can be found in the LHCb TWiki pages
The history of dependencies and included packages can be viewed for any tagged version (including the ones that have been removed) from the SVN web interface. Check for the versions with the relevant SVN tags. For project dependencies see the MOORE_vXrY/cmt/project.cmt file. For the versions of the packages included in the MOORE project see the MooreSys/vXrY/cmt/requirements file. Some more dependencies can be read from the Hlt/Moore/vXrY/cmt/requirements file.
