Common Attributes for all Elements
The following attributes are allowed on all elements:
- TYPE

A string value.
It specifies an ``engineering type'' and can be used for element
selection.
- APERTURE
-
A real vector with an arbitrary length which describes
the element aperture.
It is ignored by MAD-9, but it can be used in other programs.
- other
-
All elements can have arbitrary additional attributes
which are not defined below.
Such attributes must have a name different from all defined attributes
and single real values.
Only the TYPE attribute is used by MAD-9,
but the SAVE command saves all attributes
unless OPTION,MAD8 is active.
