Emittance at different distances

The emittance of the beam from the LIS MO-LPA laser system. The emittance measurement system was similar to the one used in [1] both modified to use a phosphor screen in place of the multi-channel-plate (see [2]).

The device can be moved along the beam axis on a chariot system. Therefore it was possible to measure the emittance at many different positions. The results were then reconstructed into ideal ellipses from the 4xrms emittance and the appropriate Twiss parameters. The results are shown below.
