About radiation hardness...

There is not much written about the accumulated dose for PET... The studies focus on crystals, and there is no explanation about the chosen doses (Open question: do they correspond to the real situation of a PET scanner working X hours a day and patients with 20mCi?)

• Radiation sensitivity of GSO and LSO scintillation detectors about radiation damage in crystals to be used for PET scanners...

• Radiation resistivity of BGO crystals due to low-energy gamma-rays an older paper of the same people...
