Instructions for the handling Geant4 installation tarballs (dirInstallation).

You must be at CERN User Interface and use your GEANT4 grid certificate.

If you don't have the LCG commands setup then do this: source /afs/cern.ch/project/gd/LCG-share/sl3/etc/profile.d/grid_env.csh

Note: remember that LCG setup will screw other applications (such as DIANE)

To see the published tags:

lcg-infosites --vo geant4 tag

As of May 11 2006 the good tag is: VO-geant4-december05prod-final-cand03

To see the name of the queues:

lcg-infosites --vo geant4 ce

You have to manually correlate the tag, site name and queue name. Queue name goes into the file used by DIANE for the LCG backend.

To see the name of the catalog server:

lcg-infosites --vo geant4 lfc

To set the catalog server:

setenv LFC_HOST prod-lfc-shared-central.cern.ch

To set the SE:

setenv VO_GEANT4_DEFAULT_SE lxn1183.cern.ch

To copy a file locally:

lcg-cp -v --vo geant4 lfn:/grid/geant4/geant4-production-final-cand3 file:/afs/cern.ch/sw/arda/install/DIANE/Geant4/geant4-production-final-cand3.tgz
