Event Displays from 2009 Collision Data

The event displays below are approved to be shown by ATLAS speakers at conferences and similar events. If you wish to use these event displays for other purposes than presentations of ATLAS results, please see the copyright statement.

Events at 2.36 TeV Centre-of-Mass Energy

Events at 900 GeV Centre-of-Mass Energy

First collision event observed

V0 candidate
Candidate KS decay into two pions (6 December).
 
Pile-up candidate
Collision event with two reconstructed primary vertices: a candidate for two proton-proton collisions in the same beam crossing ("pile-up").
 
Events with relatively high multiplicity
Two collision events with relatively high numbers of reconstructed tracks: tracks shown have pT>500 MeV. Only tracking detector hits on tracks are shown. Small displays at right show hits in the minimum-bias trigger scintillators (MBTS).
