Presentation showing a summary of simulated "desired" beam sizes for the ATF test beam. Plot summarizing the predicted melted surface against beam parameters.

The desired beam sizes will have a beam area of less than 60 um^2 but only for a top charge of 2E10 e-, if that charge can't be achieved then the beam are shall be smaller than 50 um^2, combining (if possible) a round beam with a cigar shaped beam to compare damage shapes.

Beam sizes (um^2) Charges (e-)
8x8 (60) 2E10
10x6 (60) 2E10
20x3 (60) 2E10 (1.7E10?)
7x7 (50) 2E10, 1.7E10, 1.5E10
10x5 (50) 2E10, 1.7E10, 1.5E10
20x2.5 (50) 2E10, 1.7E10, 1.5E10
6x6 (40) 2E10, 1.7E10, 1.5E10
10x4 (40) 2E10, 1.7E10, 1.5E10
20x2 (40) 2E10, 1.7E10, 1.5E10
5x5 (25) 2E10, 1.7E10, 1.5E10
