Summary of the discussion

the basic idea is to use a WMS at CNAF integrated in CRAB. As a starting point we will use as a target those CREAM CEs already deployed in production (from a quick test done during the meeting it turned out that there are ~10 queues now supporting CMS, there are much more for Alice. Antonio will try and contact those sites to see if they can extend the support to CMS). As a consequence CRAB will have to point to queues published as "Special"

In addition to that a CREAM currently available at PADOVA will be made visible to this WMS . This installation will not be under strict version control

In short the initial set-up (available for the CRAB-CREAM connection testing) will be

• 1 WMS-ICE (CNAF) PATCH:2597 + PATCH:2986 (ERRATA CORRIGE - during the meeting it was said that this version is available in pre-production, which is not true. The patch is still in certification, This may have an effect on the installation timeline as proposed by Daniele, because a reposiotry may be not directly available)
• use of production BDII
• use of CREAM resources from production
• 1 CREAM in PADOVA

subsequent updates of the WMS will be introduced using the existing repository at CNAF (to be extended to the WMS)

Daniele proposes to use production-level hardware for the WMS. He will verify with Massimo if one can be picked up from the pool of WMSs hosted at CNAF and currently available to CREAM developers.

If the need arises for new versions of CREAM o be quickly deployed (in a controlled way) in order to continue the activity we will consider to re-introduce other instances of CREAM in the pilot.

Next steps

The following actions and timelines have been proposed and judged feasible

• Installation of a new WMS: by the 8th of May (feasibility conditioned to the availability of the WMS in the PPS repository, may have to shift)
• integration of CRAB: by the 13th of May

• TASK:9711 Verify the extension of support to CMS vs. CREAM sites currently supporting Alice - Antonio - by 13th on May
