julia The strategic goal for integration and operation support activities is to considerably reduce an effort currently required for performing of the LHC computing tasks on the WLCG infrastructure. While the current functionality of the monitoring infrastructure allows to detect the eventual problems and inefficiencies of the WLCG service and/or of the LHC computing activities, it does not always provide clear indication of the underlying reasons and, correpondingly, in most cases the human intervention is required for resolving the issues. Accumulating expertise in operating of the distributed infrastructure, automatic aggregation and analysis of the monitoring statistics, adapting this knowledge by the operations tools will result in establishing where possible automatic recovery procedures which are not currently a part of the WLCG operations. This will bring down the need for human interventions and will improve the effectiveness of use of the distributed resources.
