Log: Problems with BNL and IN2P3 networks reported. DNS problem over the weekend - all services unavailable.

  • Look at BNL SURL problem on CASTOR (Olof)
  • Look at IN2P3 network problem (James)

Discussion:

  • DNS problem solved by Nick Garfield. Outage ~ 1 Hour. More details to come.
  • Rolled back default route change on FTS nodes due to problem with proixy arp'ing at the router. The access through the GPN for these nodes to non-SC hosts still works through the old default route.

  • IN2P3 problem is down to the fact that they route from RENATER over general internet, not GEANT - needs more investigation
