tuning in august

James outlined the work items to be done, and asked for comments.

Jeremy:

Gonzalo: is there a meeting when we present issues/preoblems/results from SC3.

Jamie: 6th September - there is a full day before the GDB.

Jamie encouraged people to attend the dCache workshop. Michael is still collecting input from people for the agenda.

Brian Davies: There's a issue with the VOBOX. Is this known what services are on it, and are they CE or SE intensive?

Jamie: We don't have a central place right now for this info.

Jeremy: Also, there's a question to do with disk space. Was this resolved at the GDB?

Jamie: there was some progress on specific jobs. As for storage resources by site, only LHCb has been filled in. the VOBOX is drifting a bit, and it's not clear what is running on these boxes. The expts have an open action on them to provide the list of services, but it's assumed they are lightweight.

Andreas: Need to be careful with alternative stacks on multi-homed machines.

James: Agreed we have issues, but we need to start investigating.
