Beyond the Standard Model Physics studies

This working group of the FCC-hh physics program focusses on studies of the Beyond the Standard Model Physics.

Subgroups

Exploratory studies for Dark Matter (all types) at 100 TeV.

Exploratory studies for supersymmetry at 100 TeV.

Exploratory studies for resonances (di-jet, di-lepton, ttbar) and other BSM models. New analysis techniques (esp. boosted) relevant at 100 TeV.

Benchmarks

Currently we are in a brainstorming phase to determine the topics that we want to focus on and explore. We encourage you to think about benchmarks for various types of new physics (SUSY, Dark Matter, Exotics, …). In particular, it could be interesting to think along the following lines:

  1. scenarios where the LHC could discover new physics, but could not really measure its properties
  2. scenarios where the LHC cannot discover new physics, even if it's at low mass, because it's stealthy (e.g. compressed spectra)
  3. scenarios that are out of reach for the LHC

Also, one should give special thought to physics benchmarks that could influence the detector design. Please feel free to send us suggestions and add any relevant material to the twiki.
