Study on spatial and muon momentum track resolutions

Studies on chambers spatial resolution improvement with different RPC pitches mimicking GEM detectors inserted in the 1.6<|eta|<2.1 region.

Simulated single muon pT: 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 5 TeV/c

Number of strips per chamber used in the simulation (given as multiples with respect to the original RPC strip numbers in the TDR):

x1(= RPC TDR), x2, x4, x8, x16, x32, x64, x128

Options under study for the number of upgraded endcap stations:

Option 1: Only GE±1

Option 2: GE±1 & GE±2

Option 3: GE±1 & GE±2 & GE±3 & GE±4 (full endcap)
