FDBA: Select an ADBSCONS database

In the absence of any FDBA card, the officially released ALEPH database (with name adbscons.daf) is used by default in ALPHA.

The FDBA card directs ALPHA to use a database which is not the default one. This may be useful to use the database under test and not yet officially released, or to use an old version.

On VAX/VMS:
FDBA 'dbase:name.daf'
On UNIX:
FDBA '$ALEPH/dbase/name.daf'

If name = adbstest, the current test database under developement will be selected.

To get an old version: give explicitely its name , e.g. adbs217.

Important remark:

In order to analyze 1989/1990 data, it is mandatory to ask for a special database with name = adbs8990.
