CERN Program Library Office CN/ASD
As previously announced, Apollo, SGI/Irix 4, Ultrix and VM/CMS platforms
will no longer be supported as from the end of 1995. 
That is, no further release of CERNLIB will be made for these
platforms nor will the new area be updated.
SunOS
SunOS will cease to be a supported platform as of the end of 1996. Users are encouraged to migrate to Solaris and to inform the CERN Program Library office if this change in support level will cause significant inconvenience.
VMS
We propose to freeze support for VAX/VMS as of the end of 1996 and for AXP/VMS as of the end of 1998. That is, releases of the CERN Program Library will not be made for VAX/VMS platforms from 1997 on, and for AXP/VMS platforms from 1999 on. The then-current production (PRO) versions will, nevertheless, continue to exist. Users are invited to inform the CERN Program Library office if this proposed change in support level will cause significant inconvenience.
