BARYCENTRE

Call: BARYCENTRE

histogram

The Histogram of which the barycentre is to be computed.

Histograms are normally linked to global variables, they can be created via BOOK_HISTOGRAM, read from a file with GET_HISTOGRAM, by operations between other existing histograms, or obtained from some commands with a KEEP-HISTOGRAM option.

[No default]

barycentre

On successful completion of the procedure, this variable, a Number, is set to the barycentre of the histogram.

This argument must be a modifiable global variable, not an expression, a constant etc. If the variable exists prior to the procedure call, then the associated value will be lost.

nbin

An optional argument of type Number that specifies the window width used both for searching the peak and for computing the barycentre.

[Default is 3]
