CROSS_SECTION_IDENTIFIER

Call: CROSS_SECTION_IDENTIFIER

number

Should on input contain the Magboltz cross section Number, i.e. the index in the rates vector returned by the DRIFT_MICROSCOPIC_ELECTRON procedure.

Use the SIZE function to find the length of the rates vector.

[Mandatory argument, no default.]

identifier

Contains on return a String which provides information about the cross section term.

Usually, the first 15 characters contain the Magboltz name of the gas while the last 45 characters are the Magboltz cross section description.

Any contents of this argument on input will be lost after the call.

[Mandatory argument.]

type

Contains on successful return one of the following Strings:
Attachment
Attachment, usually one such cross section per molecule
Elastic
Elastic scattering cross section, usually one per molecule
Excitation
Scattering with energy loss producing an excited state
