What's new:

• New version of glite-yaim-bdii that sets the top BDII cache validity to 4 days by default (before was 12h) as this is believed to improve the overall caching mechanism available in the top BDII.
• This release also contains a new version of glue-validator-cron that logs only the results for full EGI profile GLUE 2 validation.

• Bug fixes:
  • GRIDINFO-17: Increase BDII_DELETE_DELAY to 4 days
  • GRIDINFO-7: Fix glue-validator command line options in the cron job

Installation & Configuration:

• If you are interested in using the new cache validity default value, re-run yaim after the installation. Otherwise, no actions are needed.

• dCache SRM client v. 2.6.12
  • The SRM Client 2.6.12 follows the FHS compliant directory layout.
  • Please be sure to use Java 7 with this version of SRM Client.
  • Changes:
    • Migration to jglobus2.0: SRM client now supports secure hash algorithm SHA-2 and therefore SHA-2 signed certificates. jGlobus2.0 also supports SHA-1 signed certificates. Please be aware that VOs are encouraged not to issue SHA-1 certificates any longer. Migrating to this version of SRM Client is therefore recommended.
    • Allow relocation of srmclient, $SRM_PATH environment variable pointing to the location. Many script locations were hard coded before this fix, which caused problems when relocating SRM Client.
    • Export SRM_PATH prior to calling underlying srm script

• Please notice that due to the change to jpnfs-0.0.5, all NFS clients (v3 and v4) have to unmount prior update.

  • WMS-88 - new table in the ICE DB, registered_jobs, and new tool to query this table: queryRegisteredJobs . It is not neccesary to scratch the DB, the new ICE wil create the table in a pre-existent DB
