EMI Data Storage Accounting Meeting, Nov. 2, 2010, 11:00-11:20

Minutes

  • Outcome of OGF30 (summary)
    • Jon presented some slides emphasizing the short time-frame for EMI
    • Henrik presented a tentative record format definition, mostly the same as in our previous meeting
    • Got quite a lot of discussion, some concerns that we should not be too grid-specific (e.g., VO -> project/group)
    • Within the given time-frame the best EMI can hope for is to put definition out on public hearing - we need to check if this is good enough for our deliverable
    • All in all OGF seemed to be quite satisfied with the presented definition - now we need to write up a proper, clear and concise document and give it to the public
  • Next steps
    • Jon on vacation from Nov. 3 to Nov. 26 - will work a couple of days and try to read mail
    • Need to write-up the SR definition
      • Henrik will make some tentative document
      • Send it first to EMI group + John Kennedy
      • When we agree, send it to ur-wg@ogf
      • We will finish the draft in December when Jon returns
  • EMI all-hands
    • We need to present the SR progress and plans at EMI all-hands
    • Ralph will present the progress/plans
    • 30 minutes should be enough, including discussions
    • Jon will inform Patrick
