QA Policies After several discussion, the EMI QA Guidelines have been redefined POLICIES to underline the fact that they have to be followed (MUST not SHOULD). PTs will have to follow a Release checklist to declare they component ready for the final certification
QA and Certification Training The first of a series of internal training events took place last week. It was dedicated to the SA2 build and test tools and procedures. More information on the upcoming sessions can be found in the agenda page
Resources in the ETICS pool The build and test nodes in the ETICS pool have increased in the past two weeks to satisfy increasing demand for the final EMI certification phase. New nodes configured to build EMI 1 RC1 are beig installed this week
Support for Debian The PTB officially selected the 2nd EMI mandatory platform for the Debian family to be addressed after the release of EMI 1. The Debian 6/64 bit platform is proposed as the "debian platform" for EMI-2 with the possibility of changing to the next long term support Ubuntu version expected in April 2012 (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS).
EMI User Survey The first EMI User Survey was closed on February 18th. We got almost 280 replies and the data is now being processed, The results will be soon published on the EMI web site. For the moment, an article the survey has been published on the latest issue of iSTGW (http://www.isgtw.org/feature/emi-user-survey-surprising-start)
