What you should do as a member of the CERN ROC team

  1. (R): Follow-up and correctly dispatch GGUS tickets addressed to the ROC-CERN
  2. (P): Periodically (at least daily) review the backlog of tickets and take appropriate actions on them
  3. (A): Follow the ROC CERN mailing list.
  4. (A): Maintain the ROC CERN website (targeted at external sites mainly).
  5. (A): Maintain the ROC CERN wiki (for internal matters mainly).
  6. (R): Partecipate to the Operations Meetings.
  7. (R): Remember to cover the COD role at the Operations Meetings when CERN is also COD.
  8. (P): Certify new site and follow up uncertified sites going on through certification again
  9. (P): Every Monday before 12:00 UTC validate the ROC report for the Operations meeting.
  10. (P): Special Agreement with CERN-PROD : Should the RoD get aware, during the normal reviews, that one or more tickets are not being followed up properly by CERN-PROD, he/she will send a list in a spreadsheet to the 'grid-cern-prod-admins' mailing list, to be discussed the day after during the morning meeting.
    • Extract the currently open ticket for the CERN-PROD site from GGUS.
    • Compile an excel file CERN-tickets-DAY-MONTH-YEAR.xls and store it in egee docs at this location (many examples there):
      http://egee-docs.web.cern.ch/egee-docs/ROC_CERN/CERN-PROD_tickets/
    • Send an e-mail to the ROC CERN and grid CERN-PROD lists, following this template .
    • Participate to the morning meeting the day after (usually in the Openlab room at 9AM) and present the tickets there. The discussion of GGUS ticket is usually the last point in the agenda.
    • Afterwards, send an e-mail to the ROC CERN list to relay the comments from the morning meeting.
  11. (P): Every Thursday before 12:00 UTC fill and send the C5 report for the Cern ROC

The tasks are marked with (R), (P) and (A), meaning that some of them are meant to be completed by the Reactive RoD, some by the Proactive one, and others by all members of the ROC team. People from Cern ROC playing the "proactive" and "reactive" roles are published daily in
